The reason I started blogging six years ago was to simply, tell my story on my platform, my way with others who shared the same views and passion as I did. All these years later I am excited to be able to attend a summit that embodies the encouragement of growth, sentiment, and purpose with the same women who created and nurtured the community.

I was chosen to attend this summit by Carol Cain, Storyteller, and whom I consider a sister. We met six years ago while chatting on Twitter. At the time, she lived in the neighborhood that I was born and raised in and our children were mere babies. Over the years, our friendship has become more of a sisterhood, and I couldn’t be prouder of all she has and continues to accomplish in her career. I am proud and honored to have been chosen to celebrate her success as she shares her story of growth and determination in a room full of her peers.
