Resolution #11 - Reading List

I am a book lover.  As a kid I would get lost in books, characters and places that would transport me out of my fifth-floor apartment and into a world that was better than mine.

For the better part of my childhood and into my adult years reading was my escape, I had this need to constantly feed my brain anything and everything I could get my hands on.  Then turned 30, had a baby and my brain starting turning mushy.  After having my son, feeling overwhelmed and mixing all that in with insomnia was disastrous in every sense of the word. It was like I stepped outside of my body for almost three years and became a stranger to what was comforting to me. It felt like the pause button was pressed and my life just stopped.

Can't explain when it happened, why or how but know that I have come back around to some kind of normalcy and have no desire to revisit those moments that stunted me for so long. So with and in keeping with my New Year's resolutions, I have decided to get back into what I love and get back feeding my brain with knowledge.  I created a reading list based on recommendations of other bloggers, friends, reviews that I've read or titles that have been on my own list.  I am challenging myself to dedicate time to reconnect and dedicate some much needed time to reconnect with my core.  I am challenging myself to read these titles before the first day of summer.
